Install Catch Power Device
  1. Install CATCH Control as per the Catch Power Electricians Guide
  2. Ensure the device is powered on (LED indicator should be lit)
  3. Connect to the same local network as your FranklinWH aGate
💡 Recommended: Use a wired Ethernet connection for more reliable communication. WiFi is also supported.

Configure Network

Open the Catch Power Configurator app, go to Sunspec Configuration → Manual Add, and enter the following settings:

🌐 aGate Modbus TCP Server
IP Address 192.168.1.100
Port 502
Slave ID 1
Interface Ethernet
ⓘ The IP address above is your aGate's current local IP. If it changes after a router restart, update it in the Catch Power Configurator.

⚠️ Connection Failed

Please check the following:

  • Catch Power is powered on and installed as per the Electricians Guide
  • Both devices are on the same local network
  • Catch Power is configured with the correct aGate IP and Port: 502
  • No firewall blocking port 502
  • aGate IP address has not changed — if it has, update the IP in Catch Power Configurator. Consider setting a static IP on your router to prevent this

If issue persists, contact support with error code: CP_CONN_001
